He has a bachelor's degree in Agroindustrial Engineering from Universidad Tecnica Estatal de Quevedo (2013, Ecuador), a master's degree (2017), and a Ph.D. (2021) in Food Science from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP, Brazil) with an internship period at the Chemical Technology Institute of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain). He has experience in: production, characterization, purification, and immobilization of enzymes; pretreatments and enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass at laboratory and pilot scales; synthesis, characterization, and functionalization of graphene oxide and magnetic nanoparticles. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Brazilian Biorenewables Laboratory (LNBR) of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM, Brazil) and was a visiting researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL, USA). He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas (UARK, USA). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
