Colin Harte

Postdoctoral research fellow at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and at the Par Institute in São Paulo (with support from FAPESP). He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in psychology from the National University of Ireland - Maynooth (NUIM), in Ireland, and a doctorate in psychology from Ghent University, in Belgium, under the supervision of professors Dermot and Yvonne Barnes-Holmes. His main research interests are linked to the conceptual and empirical development of Relational Frame Theory (RFT) as an account of human language and cognition, and its application to understanding and alleviating human psychological suffering, and to socially relevant topics such as political polarization.
