PhD. fellow in Political Science with one-year visit at the University of Michigan, M.A in Political Science and B.A. in Social Sciences - all at the University of São Paulo - Brazil. I hava already been a visiting researcher: at the Center for Political Studies of the University of Michigan (USA) with an award from the Brazilian FAPESP; at the university of Åbo Akademi (Finland) with an award from the Coimbra Group of the European Union and at the Juan March Foundation (Spain) with an award from the Spanish Fundación Carolina. Currently researching on the following subjects: nationalization of parties and party systems, formation of the party systems, electoral systems, electoral georeferencing, comparative studies of the 2 Brazilian democracies (1945-64 and 1988-today), ministries appointments in Brazil. Besides these, my main interests are: causality problems with observational data, structural equation modelling (SEM) with latent variables, simultaneous equation models, Bayesian estimation.
