Jovanderson Jackson Barbosa da Silva

Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology with an emphasis in Bioinformatics (20212025) from the Graduate Program in Genetics and Molecular Biology, Institute of Biology UNICAMP (PPG-GBM-IB/UNICAMP). Masters degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology with an emphasis in Bioinformatics (2021), also from PPG-GBM-IB/UNICAMP. Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences (2016), with a major in Biomedical Sciences, from Universidade Potiguar UNP (part of the Laureate International Universities network), Natal RN, Brazil. Held a CNPq scholarship during the masters program and CAPES and FAPESP scholarships during the Ph.D. program at PPG-GBM-IB/UNICAMP, in the Genomics and bioEnergy Laboratory LGE, IB/UNICAMP. Member of the multidisciplinary research center CCES (Center for Computing in Engineering Sciences) UNICAMP, in the field of Bioinformatics. During the masters and Ph.D. programs, conducted research in Bioinformatics, analyzing the daily variation of transcripts and metabolites in energy cane and sugarcane through the integration of transcriptomics and metabolomics. As an undergraduate, developed studies in the field of oncology, focusing on types of cancer in the city of Natal-RN (2014), and in toxicogenomics with medicinal plants (2016), and participated in other projects. Also during the undergraduate program, served as a teaching assistant for the course Biological Processes (which integrates genetics, biochemistry, cell, and molecular biology), and completed internships in institutional laboratories (Genetics, Cytogenetics, Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology) at the same institution. Completed an internship at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, FMRP/USP (2017), during the Winter Course in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
