Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Faculdade de Medicina (FM)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelors degree in Biomedicine from Centro Universitário Lusíada - UNILUS (2015), PhD in Health Sciences from Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul (2020), and postdoctoral research in Clinical Emergencies at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo - FMUSP (2024). She was a visiting researcher at Radboud University (Nijmegen, Netherlands) in 2024, where she worked on trained immunity in monocytes and the evaluation of associated epigenetic alterations. Currently, she is a collaborating researcher at FMUSP and a professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santos (FCMS/UNILUS) and Universidade do Oeste Paulista (UNOESTE). Her academic and professional trajectory focuses on studying immune responses in severe infectious diseases, with a particular interest in the sequelae of sepsis, septic shock, and COVID-19. She conducts research on the long-term follow-up of patients in the post-COVID and post-sepsis periods, investigating complications and associated sequelae. Additionally, her work explores cellular reprogramming and epigenetic modifications in monocytes and macrophages in these patients, as well as the potential development of autoimmune diseases in the context of post-sepsis and post-COVID. She has extensive experience in clinical research, molecular biology, and cell culture, with a strong emphasis on the immunoregulation of monocytes and macrophages. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
