Alberto Monteiro dos Santos

Holds a degree in Biotechnology through a sandwich program at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA)/Ferris State University (MI, USA) with a scholarship funded by CAPES (2014), a Masters in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Pará (2016), a Ph.D. from the PPGBIOTEC at the Federal University of Pará (2019), and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Federal University of Maranhão (2022), UNICAMP (2023-2024), and Oklahoma University (2024-2025). Currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Chemistry at Brandeis University. Has experience in Machine Learning, Biotechnology, Biodiversity, Chemistry, and Bioinformatics, with an emphasis on Theoretical and Computational Chemistry applied to enzyme engineering and drug design.
