Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Química (IQ)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Holds a degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Bahia (2014), a master's in Multicentric Program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Federal University of Bahia (2016), and a doctorate in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Bahia (2021). Has experience in the area of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, with an emphasis on Plant Biotechnology, mainly working on the following topics: Characterization of castor bean genotypes (morphometry, germination, water content, seedling vigor), enzymatic activity (Superoxide dismutase - SOD), seed viability (Tetrazolium), abiotic stresses in plants (water restriction, salt stress, and high temperatures), cloning, genetic transformation of plants (Arabidopsis thaliana), oxidative stress, plant tolerance to abiotic stresses, functional characterization of genes, flowering regulation mechanisms. Currently a Post-Doctoral researcher at the University of São Paulo (USP) in the Laboratory of Post-Transcriptional Control of Gene Expression, focusing on research aimed at understanding the mechanisms of RNA Exosome Complex Transport to the Nucleus, using yeast as a model. The main techniques used in this work are PCR, cloning, genetic transformation in yeast, analysis of yeast mutants with deletion or depletion of importins or subunits of the RNA exosome complex. Confocal fluorescence microscopy, high-resolution microscopy (Random Illumination Microscopy - RIM), and correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM) techniques are being employed.
