Amanda Sardeli Alqualo Assaf

Masters student in Biosciences in the Graduate Program in Bioproducts and Bioprocesses at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Baixada Santista campus, with a FAPESP scholarship. Developed a 3D-printed scaffold via extrusion-based additive manufacturing using bioglass and alginate for in vitro and in vivo biological evaluation, including surgical implantation for bone regeneration analysis.Completed a six-month BEPE-FAPESP-funded research internship at the Faculty of Engineering Technology, KU Leuven (Belgium) in the field of osteochondral tissue engineering. There, she worked with histological, immunohistochemical, and qRT-PCR analyses to evaluate tissue regeneration following orthotopic implantation of cell-laden hydrogels, and contributed to the development of a novel bioglass-based bioink for 3D bioprinting applications in bone tissue engineering.She holds a postgraduate degree in Biotechnology from UNIFESP and a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences from Universidade Paulista, with a specialization in clinical analysis. She has served as a Technical Supervisor at the operational core of Ramos Medicina Diagnóstica Laboratory in Campinas, and has experience in clinical laboratory analysis, including hematology, biochemistry, immunology, parasitology, and urinalysis, having worked as a clinical lab analyst.Certified Internal Quality Auditor for PALC (Clinical Laboratory Accreditation Program) by the Brazilian Society of Clinical Pathology (SBPC). Holds a Technical degree in Biochemistry from ETECAP (Escola Técnica Estadual Conselheiro Antônio Prado). Author and contributor to the blog Biomedicina em Ação.
