Graduated in Letters (Portuguese and Latin) from the University of São Paulo (1988) and Ph.D. in Classical Letters from the University of São Paulo (2000). He works as a professor in the Area of Latin Language and Literature and in the Postgraduate Program in Classical Letters, at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in the field of Letters, with an emphasis on Classical Letters, working mainly on the following themes: Latin dramatic poetry, tragedies by LA Seneca, Latin tragedy from the republican period; philosophical prose (Cícero, Seneca), Latin epistolography (Cícero, Seneca); ancient rhetoric and poetics; ancient and modern theorizing about discursive genres in Latin literature; meter in Latin poetry; Latin language grammar and translation of works by Latin authors.
