Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the State University of Londrina (UEL) (2012), Master's degree in Animal Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) (2016). PhD in Animal Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) (2022) and currently conducting research at the Laboratory of Aquatic Organism Diseases (AQUAVET) and Routine Bacteriology Laboratory, at the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine (DMVP) of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Participated in research projects funded by CAPES and CNPQ. Has experience in the field of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, specifically in the area of Aquatic Organism Health, with emphasis on Infectious Diseases of Aquatic Animals. Primarily working in fish farming, focusing on the following topics: development of phenotypic, molecular, and serological methods for the diagnosis of bacterial pathogens in fish; therapeutic efficacy of antimicrobials; standardization of antimicrobial susceptibility tests for fish pathogens; development of vaccines for fish. Published scientific and technical articles related to infectious diseases in aquatic organisms, especially bacterial diseases affecting tilapia farming in Brazil. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
