Laís Coutinho Zayas Jimenez

Environmental Manager, graduated from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture - University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP) in 2016. She holds a PhD from the Graduate Program in Soils and Plant Nutrition (ESALQ-USP) and an MBA in Contaminated Site Management, Sustainable Urban Development, and Brownfield Revitalization from the Polytechnic School of USP (POLI-USP). She works in public administration as a specialist in public policies applied to coastal management, focusing on the integration of management and research. She serves as an advisor to the executive board of the Fundação Florestal, where she coordinates the Integrated Mangrove Management Program. She also conducts research activities in coastal wetland soils, addressing topics such as carbon dynamics, geochemistry, pedology, metal dynamics, soil quality, and ecosystem service production. Additionally, she has analytical experience in the laboratories of the ESALQ Department of Soils and the Department of Edafoloxia and Agricultural Chemistry at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
