Laís Coutinho Zayas Jimenez

Environmental manager graduated from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (2016), holding a Ph.D. in Soils and Plant Nutrition from the same institution, with professional experience in public sector management focused on bridging science and decision-making, particularly in coastal policy; currently serves as Head of the Mangrove Sector within the Biodiversity Directorate of the Fundação Florestal, where she also coordinates the Integrated Mangrove Management Program, leading initiatives in conservation, restoration, and the management of biological invasions; conducts research on soils of coastal wetlands, focusing on carbon dynamics, geochemistry, pedology, metal dynamics, soil quality, and ecosystem services, and has analytical experience in the Soil Science Department laboratories at ESALQ-USP and at the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
