Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas (ICB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Holds a degree in Science and Technology and is completing a degree in Neuroscience at the Federal University of ABC. During her undergraduate research, she worked on memory and learning in a neonatal anoxia model, using behavioral tests, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, in vivo electrophysiology, and stereotaxic surgery. She conducted a research internship at UCLA in Professor Avishek Adhikari's laboratory, where she gained experience in optogenetics, calcium imaging (Miniscope and fiber photometry), and neural signal analysis. She also participated in experiments investigating the role of PAG GABAergic neurons in food-seeking behaviors and motivational states. She has experience in behavioral and systems neuroscience techniques, including behavioral assays and computational data analysis using Python and Matlab. In addition to research, she is involved in science communication activities. Her main interest is integrating different methodologies to better understand the neural circuits underlying behavior.
