Camila holds a degree in Biology from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN-Colombia) (2009), a Masters degree in Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (2015), and a PhD in Animal Science from the State University of Northern Rio de Janeiro Darcy Ribeiro (UENF) (2019). She specializes in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry. She has completed two postdoctoral fellowships: the first in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry, focused on identifying targets for vaccine development against ticks at Hokkaido University (Japan) (2019), and the second in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology applied to Environmental Chemistry for formulating products to combat coronavirus disease (COVID-19) at UENF (2020). She is currently an entrepreneur in the AgTech and Deep Tech sectors, co-founder of PBF Nutrientes LTDA, with awards from six recognized events: Despertar Empreendedor 2021 (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS), Innovatón Solidario 2021 (National University of Litoral - Argentina), Desafio Unicamp 2022 (University of Campinas), Prêmio Startups do Futuro 2022 (Sebrae and Wylinka), Falling Walls 2022 (German Center for Science and Innovation São Paulo - DWIH São Paulo), and DAAD Entrepreneurship 2022 (Falling Walls Lab Brazil). She serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the company, responsible for the Research and Development (RD) department, as well as product manufacturing and quality.
