Holds a PhD in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from São Paulo State University in Botucatu, with a sandwich period at the University of Lisbon. Specialist in Educational Technologies from the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina. His research focuses on infectious diseases of public health importance, with Q fever being the most prominent. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of São Paulo. He is an active member of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine and serves as a reviewer for the journals One Health, Travel Medicine and Infectious Disease, and PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases.
