Guilherme Marques Santos Silva

Undergraduate student in Social Sciences at the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (FFLCHUSP). Currently an intern at the Personnel Planning Division (DPP), part of the Department of Career Management Planning (DPGC) within the Municipal Secretariat of Management (SEGES) of the São Paulo City Hall (PMSP). Former research assistant at the Center for Metropolitan Studies (CEM), a public policy research center based at FFLCHUSP and the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP), where he is also an associate member of the Center for Democracy and Collective Action (NDAC). Member of the LEPECS (Student Laboratory for Research and Extension in Social Sciences), a student-led initiative aimed at democratizing access to information about the labor market for Social Sciences students at USP. Serves on the editorial board of Primeiros Estudos Revista de Ciências Sociais (1E), an online scientific journal organized by undergraduate and graduate students in Social Sciences at FFLCHUSP, which aims to foster academic production among students and recent graduates through the publication of articles, reviews, and translations in the fields of Anthropology, Political Science, and Sociology. His main academic and professional interests focus on public and social policies, with an emphasis on public management, institutional and governmental relations, state-society relations, federalism, bureaucracies and state capacities, governance, public sector human resource management, and policies aimed at reducing poverty and social inequalities.
