Juliana de Almeida holds a Master's degree in Science and a PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). During her master's degree she focused on electrochemistry and CO2 conversion, while her doctoral research was dedicated to the synthesis and characterization of metal oxide semiconductor materials for CO2 conversion, including a sandwich doctoral internship at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) as a PDSE/Capes fellow. She worked as a Junior Researcher (CNPq Fellow) at the National Institute of Alternative Technologies for the Detection, Evaluation and Removal of Emerging and Radioactive Contaminants (INCT-DATREN) to work with thin metal films modified with metal-organic framework in CO2 reduction. He is currently a post-doctoral fellow (FAPESP) on a project in partnership with Sabesp to remove organic compounds from water supplies. She is also collaborating on an international FAPESP-SPRINT project with the University of Manchester in the UK, carrying out internships in the collaborating research group.
