Lucas Ramos

Graduated in Biochemical Engineering (2012), Master of Science (2015) from the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering (PPGEQ), and PhD in Industrial Biotechnology (2019) from the Graduate Program in Industrial Biotechnology (PPGBI), all completed at the University of São Paulo (USP) at the Lorena campus - School of Engineering of Lorena (EEL-USP). Has experience in Chemical Engineering, with emphasis on Biocatalysis, focusing on Fixed Bed and Fluidized Bed reactors, column reactors, transesterification, immobilized lipase, biodiesel, and macauba oil. Experience in Industrial Biotechnology, specializing in second-generation ethanol production in column reactors, involving biomass pretreatment, enzymatic hydrolysis, fermentation, process simulation, and economic analysis.Served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Piura (Peru), working on Clean Energy Generation using biomass residues and carbon through primary thermal monitoring measurements and combustion diagnostics. Previously a researcher at the University of São Paulo (EEL-USP) in the Synthetic and Molecular Biology research group, focusing on recombinant protein production. Currently a researcher at the University of São Paulo (EEL-USP) in the Renewable Carbon and Biological Systems laboratory, working on lignin valorization. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
