Rafael Barty Dextro

I am currently developing my postdoc at CENA/USP with supervision by Profa. Dra. Tsai Siu Mui at the FAPESP project 22/13186-4 in partnership with the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). Within this project, I plan to evaluate socioeconomic and microbiologic aspects related to agroforestry system in the Amazon biome. Abroad BEPE internship at Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) in Japan, supervised by Prof. Naoaki Ono. PhD in Science (Biology in Agriculture and the Environment) from University of São Paulo - Centre of Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (USP-CENA, 2019-2023). Study Abroad program (PrInt/CAPES) during my doctorate in King's College London (United Kingdom) under the supervision of Prof. Paul Long. My research, supervised by Professor Marli de Fátima Fiore, focused on the evaluation of cyanobacteria's biotechnological potential using genomic analyses, bioinformatics' tools and biomass identification of natural products. Master of Ecology and Natural Resources at Federal University of São Carlo- UFSCAR (2017-2019) and MBA in People Management at PECEGE/ESALQ (2020-2021). Bachelor of Biological Sciences, graduated at Federal University of São Paulo - UNIFESP (2010-2016), during which I was sponsored by Science Without Borders Program (CAPES) to study for a year at Monash University, Melbourne (Australia) at the Biological Sciences course. Technical and scientific experience in Microbiology and Phycology doing research in both national and international universities.
