Birthplace: Brazil

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Botany at the National School of Tropical Botany (ENBT/JBRJ Rio de Janeiro), under the supervision of Dr. Domingos Cardoso, and I am an associated PhD student at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (RBG Kew, London), under the supervision of Dr. Bente Klitgaard. I hold a Masters degree in Biodiversity from São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), São José do Rio Preto campus (SP), and postgraduate diplomas in Environmental Management from Faculdade Educamais and Environmental Law from Centro Universitário União das Américas Descomplica.I worked on the Flora and Funga of Brazil project under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Daniela Sampaio, focusing on the Leguminosae family, particularly the genera Crudia, Dussia, Mora, Paramachaerium, and Pterocarpus. I received research grants from CNPq (Technical Support for Research Level 2A) and FAPESP (TT-3 scholarship), with projects aimed at expanding and disseminating botanical records from the state of São Paulo through the digitization and computerization of herbarium specimens.I have experience in Plant Biology with an emphasis on the Systematics of Angiosperms, working mainly on the following topics: biodiversity, botanical collections, floristic surveys, and the systematics of Leguminosae, especially the genera Dalbergia, Machaerium, Paramachaerium, and Pterocarpus. I have participated in several scientific expeditions for plant collection across the Caatinga, Cerrado, and Atlantic Forest phytogeographic domains, including Seasonal Semideciduous Forest, Dense Ombrophilous Forest, and Restinga formations.
