CV Lattes ORCID

Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Biologia (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Holds a degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis on Biotechnology from the Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability NUPEM at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and is currently pursuing a direct Ph.D. in the Genetics and Molecular Biology program at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). During undergraduate studies, participated in a project on the rescue and translocation of lycophytes in the ferruginous rupestrian grasslands of the Amazon biome, contributing to genetic variability analyses and the development of ex situ conservation protocols. In the Ph.D., has established collaborations with public universities such as UFPE, UFV, and UFMG, as well as private institutions like Vale S.A., to study conservation genomics of micro-endemic, threatened, and rare bromeliads from the rupestrian grasslands of Minas Gerais, with funding from FAPESP. Has experience in interdisciplinary research involving genomics, conservation genomics, plant production, genetic monitoring, and population ecology. The work focuses on plant conservation genomics, genetic resource conservation, plant evolution and phylogenetics, ecosystem restoration, and species translocation. Through these approaches, aims to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the implementation of effective biodiversity conservation strategies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
