Jean Helder Marques Ribeiro

Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (2023). Jean works at the intersection of fluid dynamics and flow control. He specializes in computational fluid dynamics, reduced-order modeling, modal analysis of fluid flows, and physics-inspired flow control. Jean has received several awards from the University of California, Los Angeles. For his contributions to the graduate student community at UCLA, he was honored with the GSA Presidential Award in 2021 and the Engineering Achievement Award in Student Welfare in 2023. Additionally, he received the Outstanding Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering Award in 2023. He previously earned an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2017) and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2014). In 2024, he spent a year as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universidade Estadual de Campinas before joining Universidade Federal Fluminense as a Professor. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
