William Orivaldo Faria Carvalho

Professor and researcher at the National Institute of Telecommunications (Inatel). Completed postdoctoral research at the Polymers Group of the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC), University of São Paulo (USP) in 2024, and at the Institute of Systems Engineering and Information Technology (IESTI), Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI) in 2023. Holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications from the Inatel (2022) and a Master's degree in Telecommunications from the same institute (2018). Graduated in Telecommunications Engineering from the Inatel (2013). Previously studied Telecommunications at the Francisco Moreira da Costa Technical School of Electronics (ETE FMC) (2008). Has numerous interdisciplinary research papers published in high-impact international journals, collaborations with other research groups, and experience supervising undergraduate students. Expertise lies in the field of Telecommunications and Electronics, with a focus on Electromagnetic Theory, Applied Electromagnetism, Wave Propagation, Waveguides, RF Antennas, Metamaterials, Metasurfaces, Optical Communications, Photonics, Plasmonics, Optical Nanoantennas, Magneto-Optical Effects, and Numerical Methods and Simulations.
