Abstract
Sparassidae includes small to large-sized, wandering, laterigrade spiders, with two tarsal claws and scopulae on tarsi and metatarsi. Its main synapomorphies are the presence of a trilobate membrane at the distal dorsal end of the metatarsi and claw tufts with distally bifid setae.
