Under-graduate Physics course completed at the Univ. Nac. de Buenos Aires and Univ. Nac. de La Plata, Argentina (1965), PhD in Physics from Univ. Nacional de La Plata (1975). Present affiliation: Professor Colaborador da Universidade Estadual de Campinas e Pesquisador Colaborador do Laboratório Nacional de Luz Síncrotron. Has experience in Physics, focusing on Condensed Matter Physics, acting on the following subjects: X-ray diffraction, small angle x-ray scattering, crystallography and structure of organic and inorganic materials (polymers and complex fluids). Special interest is the study of biological macromolecules and nanocrystalline materials. President of the Brazilian Crystallographic Association - ABCr (1990-1993 and 2003-2007). Also as Council Member of the ABCr acted as Secretary for Teaching Affairs and Communications (2008-2012) and Treasurer (2012-2016). Member of the Executive Comm. of the International Union of Crystallography -IUCr (2003-2005) and Vice-President of the same Institution (2005-2008).
