Biochemical Engineering undergraduate student at the Lorena School of Engineering, Universidade de São Paulo (EEL/USP, Brazil) and researcher at SymbLab (Synthetic and Molecular Biology Laboratory). Current research projects involve the heterologous expression of sweet proteins, carbohydrate active enzymes (CAZymes), fusion proteins, genetic editing (RISC silencing, homologous recombination, CRISPR-Cas systems) and pharmaceutical productions via cell factories, utilizing filamentous fungi and yeast-based expression systems. Was a scientific coordinator to the CBDynamics project, winner of the Silver Medal for the USP-EEL-Brazil team on the 2023 edition of the international Genetically Engineered Machine's Grand Jamboree (iGEM 2023). Currently acting as an advisor to the same team, having received the Gold Medal on the 2024 edition of the iGEM Grand Jamboree. Current interests include biochemistry, rational development of cell factories, molecular and synthetic biology, biotechnology, applied microbiology and bioprocess scaling.
