I am interested in phylogenomics, gene flow, demography, hybridization and hybrid speciation. In the last years, I studied the evolution of fur seals and sea lions, focusing on South American species. Now, I am focused on understanding how environmental conditions acted on the phylogenetic splits of Dung Beetles (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Scarabaeinae) from the Malagasy Region (Madagascar and its satellites islands of Mascarenes) using a genomic approach.
