Gabriel Araujo has a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a Master's in Zoology from the National Museum, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a PhD in Environmental Sciences and Conservation from the Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability (NUPEM), Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with a period of visitor PhD student at the California Academy of Sciences, between 2021-2022. Is currently a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Marine Biology at the University of São Paulo (CEBIMar/USP). Has experience in Zoology, with emphasis on Ichthyology, working mainly on the following subjects: Phylogeography, Phylogeny, Biogeography, Zoology, Systematics and Taxonomy.
