Eliakim Ferreira Oliveira holds a Bachelor's degree (2020), a Licentiate degree (2021), and a Master's degree (2023) in Philosophy from the Department of Philosophy at the University of São Paulo (USP), as well as a Bachelor's degree in Language and Literature (2025), with a specialization in Linguistics and Portuguese, from the School of Arts, Sciences, and Humanities of USP. He is currently a PhD candidate in Epistemology and Philosophy of Science at USP.He has conducted studies in German Classical Philosophy, with an emphasis on Kant. From 2020 to 2023, as part of the Graduate Program in Philosophy at USP, he researched under the supervision of Maurício Cardoso Keinert the unity between the cognitive and aesthetic aspects of imagination in Kants Critique of Pure Reason and Critique of the Power of Judgment, focusing on the concepts of schema and schematism (funded by CAPES).He also undertook research on the notion of research strategies, having published a paper on Hugh Laceys philosophy of science and taught courses on:(1) conceptions of the relationship between values and scientific activity in the works of Ernan McMullin, Helen Longino, Philip Kitcher, and Hugh Lacey;(2) the notion of style in the history and philosophy of science;(3) an introduction to the philosophy of technology;(4) an introduction to cognitive linguistics.Under the supervision of Pablo Rubén Mariconda (in memoriam), Caetano Ernesto Plastino (Department of Philosophy, USP), and co-supervision of Paulo Chagas de Souza (Department of Linguistics, USP), he began in 2024 a doctoral research project in the philosophy of science, focused on the linguistic sciences. This research examines linguistics from the perspective of its historical development throughout the 20th centuryparticularly the conflict between generative grammar and cognitive linguisticsusing evaluation frameworks for scientific practices drawn from the philosophy and historiography of science, namely the notions of style of thought/scientific reasoning and research strategy.This research is funded by FAPESP and has received a Research Internship Abroad Scholarship (2026) for an internship at the Histoire des Théories Linguistiques (HTL) laboratory at Université Paris Cité, under the supervision of Jean-Michel Fortis.In addition to his work in philosophy and linguistics, he is also engaged in literary production and literary criticism, having published books of poetry, short stories, and chronicles, as well as a book on the poetry of João Cabral de Melo Neto.
