Graduated in Biological Sciences (Teaching Degree) from the State University of Maranhão (UEMA) in 2013, with a Masters degree (2016) and PhD (2021) in Biological Sciences (Entomology) from the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA). Conducted postdoctoral research under the Institutional Capacity Building Program (PCI) (20212023) and the Program for Supporting the Retention of Young PhDs in Brazil (Fixam-FAPEAM/CNPq) (20232024) at INPA. Currently, a Postdoctoral Researcher funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) at São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP-Assis) (since 2024).Additionally, serves as a subject editor for the scientific journals Biodiversity Data Journal, Contributions to Entomology, Neotropical Biology and Conservation, and PLoS One. Co-responsible for Trichoptera in the Taxonomic Catalog of the Brazilian Fauna (CTFB). Supervises undergraduate students in the Institutional Program of Scientific and Technological Initiation at UNESP and graduate students in the Graduate Program in Entomology at INPA (PPGEnto) (Masters and PhD levels) and in the Graduate Program in Biodiversity and Evolution (PPGBioEvo) (Masters level). Accredited in the Graduate Program in Neotropical Biodiversity (PPGBN) at UNILA.Experienced in Zoology (Entomology), with a focus on the Systematics and Taxonomy of Aquatic Insects, specializing in the following areas: Trichoptera, Megaloptera, Plecoptera, Odonata, Biodiversity, Phylogeny, Integrative Taxonomy, Biogeography, Species Descriptions (including immature stages), Brazilian biomes, and the Popularization of Science.E-mail: gleysonbio@gmail.com (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
