Roberta Yukari Hoshino

Undergraduate student in the Veterinary Medicine program at the Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering (FZEA) of the University of São Paulo (USP). She was a PUB scholarship holder (2023/2024 call) at the Swine Research Laboratory (LPS) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ) of the University of São Paulo (USP), working on the project "Demystifying the swine production chain and scientific dissemination to the community," under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Cesar Augusto Pospíssil Garbossa. She was also awarded a BEPE scholarship and conducted her research in Finland at the University of Helsinki, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Cesar Augusto Pospíssil Garbossa, co-supervised by Dr. Bruno Bracco Donatelli Muro, and under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Stefan Björkman, with the project "Assessment of the impact that stress and systemic inflammation during parturition have on the sow's welfare." She is currently a scientific initiation scholarship holder at the Swine Research Laboratory (LPS), working on the project "Provision of nesting material as an alternative to promote the welfare and productive efficiency of hyperprolific sows," under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Cesar Augusto Pospíssil Garbossa.
