Mauricio Rodriguez received his Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in 2018 and his Master's degree in Electronics with mention in Automatics in 2022 at the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE, Quito, Ecuador. During his academic studies he has collaborated in several research groups such as: WiCOM-Energy; Automatic Seismic Signal Recognition Systems (SRASI); and Propagation, Electronic Control and Networking (PROCONET), in which he was granted a full scholarship for a one and a half month research internship in 2021 at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and the Energy Ville Research Center in Belgium. In addition, he has worked as a mathematics teacher in public and private universities in Ecuador for one and a half years, he has been a collaborator in the International Seminars on Embedded Application Development in 2017 and 2018 held in Ecuador, and he has participated in several international conferences as a speaker, reviewer, and even as a Web Chair at the ACM International Conference Special Interest Group on Data Communication (SIGCOMM), 2025. He has 11 scientific papers published (7 conference papers and 4 journal articles indexed in Scopus). Currently, he is a PhD student at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEEC), and he is active in the Information Networking Technologies Research and Innovation Group (INTRIG) and in the SMART NEtworks and ServiceS for 2030 (SMARTNESS) FAPESP Engineering Research Center (ERC). His main research topic is based on route planning for multiple autonomous agents in dynamic and close-to-reality constrained environments. His research interests include UAVs, Drones, Air traffic management, Route Planning, Reinforcement Learning, Real-Time Automation Algorithms, Smart Cities Applications, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Energy efficiency, and Website Development.
