Economist and PhD in Energy Planning from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He was technical advisor of the Energy Research Company (EPE) and Visiting Professor in the University Pierre Mendès-France in Grenoble, France and in the University of Texas at Austin, US. Currently, he is Associate Professor of the Energy Planning Program at COPPE/UFRJ, researcher at CentroClima, member of the Permanent Technical Committee of LIFE Institute (Lasting Initiative For Earth) and Vice-President of the Brazilian Association of Energy Planning - SBPE. He has experience in energy and environmental modeling, besides working in the areas of regulation of energy sectors, integration of new technologies and different energy sources on issues related to climate change.
