Biomedical scientist graduated from Paulista University of Sorocaba (2016), currently pursuing a direct Ph.D. at the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM) of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). My research project is focused on Pharmacology in the Department of Translational Medicine, with a particular emphasis on metabolic syndromes, specifically obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus. I have a specific interest in the generation of methylglyoxal, advanced glycation end products (AGEs), and the receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE), and their influences on the exacerbation of inflammatory diseases of the airways (both allergic and non-allergic) in preclinical models.
