Patrícia Tonon holds a degree in Chemistry from the Instituto de Química (IQ) at UNICAMP (2009), with a Masters degree in Analytical Chemistry (2012) and a Ph.D. in Sciences (2018), also from IQ/UNICAMP. Since 2011, she has worked as a Chemist Professional in Support of Teaching, Research, and Extension at the EXTRAE laboratory, affiliated with the Faculdade de Engenharia de Alimentos (FEA) at UNICAMP. She develops research activities focused on the development and validation of analytical methodologies applied to vegetable oils, bioactive extracts, and their chemical conversion products, with an emphasis on reducing the environmental impacts associated with the waste generated in these analyses, as well as ensuring analyst safety. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses related to the chemical composition and classification of essential oils. In university outreach, she is responsible for workshops in the UniversIDADE Program at UNICAMP, addressing the chemistry of essential and vegetable oils. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
