Priscila Kauana Barelli Forcel

Masters student in Urban Engineering at the Federal University of São Carlos (PPGEU/UFSCar), within the research line "Management, Planning and Technologies Applied to Urban Engineering," holding a FAPESP scholarship (Grant n 2023/11899-6). Develops research focused on the critical analysis and application of the methodology of the João Pinheiro Foundation (FJP) for calculating the municipal housing deficit, based on the 2010 Census microdata. The research aims to qualify the deficit through sociodemographic and infrastructure-based approaches, while also discussing its methodological limitations. The municipality of Jacareí-SP is used as the case study.Member of the research groups Cidades e Pessoas: Conectadas and GESTAU Gestão do Ambiente Urbanizado (UFSCar), as well as Território Desigualdades (UFV), all registered with the CNPq. Within the Cidades e Pessoas and Território Desigualdades groups, participates in studies focused on estimating the intra-municipal housing deficit using supervised methods of Interpretable Machine Learning and Neural Networks, applied to the disaggregation of estimates from the weighting area level to the census tract level.Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from Universidade Paulista (UNIP Araraquara, 20152019). From 2021 to June 2023, worked as an architect and consultant in projects funded by the Architecture and Urbanism Council of São Paulo (CAU/SP), focused on Technical Assistance in Social Housing (ATHIS) in municipalities of São Paulo's interior.
