Henrique Balbi lives in São Paulo, his hometown, where he graduated in Journalism (ECA-USP). He's a PhD in Brazilian Literature at USP, where he also currently works as a temporary professor. Master in Philosophy, in Brazilian Studies, he studied "O Homem Nu" and "A Nudez da Verdade", two texts by Fernando Sabino, in his dissertation in IEB-USP. He has worked as a Literature teacher at Anglo Vestibulares. Since 2021 his book reviews have been published in the Brazilian newspaper O Globo. He was a columnist for the website of Época magazine between 2018 and 2020. He had two short stories selected by the Off-Flip prize in literature: "Revolta", in 2019, and "O ex-papa despido", in 2016. He's won the short story contest Prêmio Apolinário Porto Alegre de Literatura, promoted by FURG, in 2016 with his story "Incomplenitude: Entrevista e Comentário sobre a obra de Ivan Evandro da Cunha". His undergraduate student research focused on the development of the narrator in chronicles of Brazilian authors Fernando Sabino and Rubem Braga. In 2014, he was an intern of the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, working in two of its magazines, "Guia Folha" and "Revista sãopaulo". (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
