Abstract
The purinergic system is important and plays a fundamental role in the vascular system. It is an extracellular signaling system composed of nucleotides (ATP, ADP, and UDP, for example), nucleosides (adenosine), receptors (P1 and P2), and ectonucleotidases (enzymes).
