Graduated in Agronomy from the Universidad Nacional Daniel Alcides Carrión (Oxapampa, Peru) in 2013, with a Masters degree in Agronomy Agricultural Entomology from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (FCAV/UNESP) in 2017, and a Ph.D. in Sciences Entomology from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, University of São Paulo (ESALQ/USP) in 2023. During his masters and doctoral studies, he participated in an exchange program at the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station Rutgers University (NJ, USA). In Peru, he worked as a laboratory technician at the Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agraria and as a lecturer at undergraduate and graduate levels. His research focuses on the ecology of interactions among plants, herbivores, and their natural enemies, with emphasis on induced defenses, plant resistance to insects, and biological control. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at ESALQ/USP, investigating the effects of endophytic fungi on soybean productivity and defense mechanisms under drought conditions.
