Birthplace: Brazil

Specialist in Data Science Analytics (USP/Esalq, 2024), Master of Science from the Department of Genetics and Evolutionary Biology at IB-USP (2021), and Bachelor of Biological Sciences from the Department of Zoology at IBIO-UNIRIO (2014). Currently, I am a FAPESP (Mídia Ciência) fellow, developing the project "Amazônia Revelada: Digital Narratives and an Archaeology for the Future", under the supervision of Prof. Eduardo Góes Neves (MAE-USP).My professional background integrates academic research, archaeology, data science, and digital communication. During my undergraduate studies, I researched paleoclimate and dental morphology of fossil Cervids and Tayassuids at the Laboratory of Mastozoology (LAMAS) at UNIRIO. In my masters, I investigated human mobility patterns in Central Brazil during the Early Holocene, using strontium isotope analysis, at the Laboratory of Archaeology and Environmental and Evolutionary Anthropology (LAAAE-USP). During my MBA in Data Science Analytics, I developed a pilot predictive model in Python to analyze environmental factors associated with deforestation in archaeological sites in the Brazilian Amazon.Since 2018, I have worked in science communication and digital media. I co-created the Instagram page of LAAAE-USP and co-founded the science communication projects "Evolução para Todas" (Fundação Arymax, 2019) and "Evolução para Todes" (Instituto Serrapilheira, 2020). I also created and co-produced short films selected for international audiovisual festivals, such as the Science Film Festival and comKids Jeunesse Iberoamericano. I have published an article in Folha de S. Paulos Blog Ciência Fundamental and worked with influencers and marketing agencies, handling social media and campaigns for brands such as Paramount, PlayStation, iFood, MTV, Deezer, and Hot Wheels, among others. Additionally, I have contributed to the development of the SciTech startup Coractium and worked in back-office operations at XP Investimentos.Currently, I focus on scientific and data journalism, with an emphasis on science outreach, innovation, digital education, open data, multimedia production, and programming. In 2024, I published an investigative report on the impacts of deforestation on archaeological sites in the Brazilian Amazon for InfoAmazônia, which was featured in the Top 10 weekly selection by the Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) and received an honorable mention in the Cláudio Weber Abramo Data Journalism Award, in the Investigation category.
