PhD in Information and Communication in Health from PPGICS/ICICT/Fiocruz. My dissertation, "Who Consume Fake News Consume Fake News? Uses and Meanings Assigned to Science and Journalism in COVID-19 Channels on Telegram" (funded by CAPES), received the Oswaldo Cruz Thesis Award in the Humanities and Social Sciences in 2024. Participated in the Institutional Program for Internationalization (CAPES-Print) and completed a doctoral internship at the University of New South Wales in Australia. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Lab (Recod.ai) at the Institute of Computing (IC), University of Campinas (Unicamp), working on the Horus project: Artificial Intelligence Techniques for Identifying and Preventing Synthetic Realities, funded by FAPESP. I am also a researcher at the Center for Studies in Communication, History, and Health (NECHS - Fiocruz/UFRJ) and collaborates on the projects "Training Primary Health Care Workers to Combat Misinformation on Vaccination" (CNPq) and "Training Health Communicators in Contexts of Misinformation" (Inova-Fiocruz). Additionally, I am an assistant editor of the Electronic Journal of Communication, Information, and Innovation in Health (RECIIS - Fiocruz). My current research interests include: communication and health, journalism, misinformation/disinformation, artificial intelligence, synthetic realities, digital anthropology, truth regimes, and scientific narrative disputes.
