Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor's degree in History (UCS, 2000), bachelor's and teaching degree in Biological Sciences (UCS, 2001), master's in Zoology (PUCRS, 2004), Ph.D. in Zoology (UNESP-RC, 2011) with a 4-month internship at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM, Canada) and 4 months at the Kunming Institute of Zoology (KIZ, China). I was a postdoctoral fellow at MZUSP from 2012 to 2016, having interned for 12 months at Florida State University (FSU, USA). I participated as a CNPq DTI fellow in the Comparative Genomics project at LNCC at PUCRS between 2004 and 2007. I was a FAPESP TT5 fellow in the CeTICS project at the Butantan Institute between 2016 and 2017. Currently, I am a researcher at the Zoological Collections Laboratory of the Butantan Institute, where I am the curator of the Herpetological Collection. I have experience in Genetics and Zoology, with an emphasis on Systematics, Evolution of snakes, working mainly on the following topics: molecular phylogeny, phylogeography, bioinformatics, genomics, toxin evolution, and snake taxonomy.
