Mário Jorge is studying medicine at the Paulista School of Medicine (Unifesp). So far, he participates in the extension project of the Brazilian Group of Hemochromatosis at UNIFESP, which aims to promote advances and subsidies for diagnosis and treatment and increase information about hemochromatosis in society, through an easily accessible language. It also participated in the Famílias Fortes extension project, a project developed by the National Secretariat for the Family of the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights, which aims, through the program, to prevent the use of alcohol and other drugs by strengthening family ties to families with children and adolescents aged 10 to 14 years.
