Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia (MAE)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I am an associate professor at the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology at USP, with a doctorate and a master's degree in Social Anthropology from the National Museum, UFRJ. I was awarded postdoctoral fellowships at the Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac (2019-2021), Princeton University (2021-2022), and Newton International Fellowship/The British Academy/UCL (2022-2024, not executed). Between 2020 and 2022, I worked as a lecturer in the Anthropology departments of the University of Paris Nanterre and Princeton. I am also an associate researcher at the Laboratório de Arte, Ritual e Memória (LARMe/UFRJ) and a member of the Société des Américanistes and ICOM. I have been conducting fieldwork in Amazonia since 2010, working most directly with the Bora-Miranha peoples in the Caquetá-Putumayo area and the Carib-speaking peoples in the Guianas. Over the past few years, I have coordinated projects on documentation and digital return of archives and museum collections (CNRS-France, 2016-2018; UNESCO/Museu do Índio, 2017-2022; EMKP-The British Museum, 2022-2023). Currently, I also lead the USP-Cofecub international cooperation project "Coleções Compartilhadas: os acervos franco-brasileiros de Lévi-Strauss". I am especially concerned with Amerindian historical agency, regimes of historicity and asymmetrical relations, and the anthropology of art, objects, museums, and collaborative processes.
