Birthplace: Brazil

I am Renato Duarte de Araújo, currently a direct Ph.D. student in Animal Science and Pastures at the University of São Paulo, under the supervision of Professor Luiz L. Coutinho, within the FAPESP-funded project (2024/17468-0). My research focuses on identifying structural variants in the genome of Nelore cattle, investigating their effects on gene expression, and validating their impact through PCR and cell culture techniques.During my undergraduate studies in Animal Science at the Federal University of Viçosa (2023), I was involved in projects related to fetal programming in beef cattle. This experience not only strengthened my interest in biotechnology but also provided me with significant hands-on experience in laboratories, where I worked with gene and protein expression across different tissues.
