Melkzedekue de Moraes Alcântara Calabrese Moreira, born in São Carlos, São Paulo, holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (2017), with specializations in Quality Engineering and in Maintenance Engineering and Management with an Emphasis on Management, both from UniBF/PR (2020). He completed his M.Sc. (2020) and Ph.D. (2024) in Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Dynamics and Mechatronics, at the School of Engineering of São Carlos, University of São Paulo (EESC/USP). His research focuses on the development of technologies in the fields of biomechanics, piezoelectric sensors, and assistive technology. During his Ph.D., he developed multilayer piezoelectret sensors for biomedical applications, with a focus on gait analysis, motion pattern detection, and the development of embedded electronics for signal acquisition and processing. He has also contributed to research in mechatronic systems control, robotic neurorehabilitation, and energy harvesting. He has teaching experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Engineering courses, along with a solid scientific output, including journal publications and presentations at national and international conferences. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow funded by FAPESP, working on multilayer piezoelectret sensors, embedded systems, and signal processing techniques applied to wearable instrumentation for gait, rehabilitation, assistive technologies, and postural monitoring in wheelchair seats and backrests. He also collaborates on a project in partnership with Petrobras, focused on the integration of neural networks and computer vision for the control of quadruped robots in offshore environments.
