Fabiano Carlos da Silva

I am a Master's student in Computer Science at the Center for Informatics at UFPE, with a degree in Computer Networks and a specialization in IT Management and Governance. I hold certifications such as FORTINET NSE4 and Microsoft Security Compliance. My research focuses on cybersecurity applied to computer and IoT networks, using machine learning to detect and mitigate DDoS and Zero-Day attacks. In the MENTORED project, I develop detection models based on unsupervised learning. I have experience with both supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, which I implement in my academic research for threat identification and mitigation. Additionally, I have experience in system administration, network monitoring, and information security, with an interest in intelligent solutions for protecting computational infrastructures.
