Kelly Komatsu Agopyan

Post-Doctoral researcher of the Gobal Cities Program at the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo (IEA-USP). PhD and Master in International Relations at the Institute of International Relations of the University of São Paulo (IRI-USP) with an exchange period at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Coordinated "MaRIas IRI-USP", a research group on Gender and International Relations at IRI-USP. She was a researcher at the USP Municipalities Program and at the MERCOSUR Human Rights Institutional Information System (SISUR). She was a substitute professor at the Department of International Relations at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). She was a fellow of the Sasakawa Young Leaders Scholarship Fund (2018). She was advisor for international affairs at the Municipal Secretary of Human Rights and Citizenship of the City of São Paulo (2014-2016).Areas of work and research interest involve urban issues, the right to the city, subnational public policy, occupation of public spaces, city networks, decentralized international cooperation, paradiplomacy, human rights and gender studies.
