Gabriel Luiz Navarro Liberal

He graduated in animal sciences from the Júlio de Mesquita Filho São Paulo State University (UNESP), Botucatu campus. He is currently a master's student in Animal Science at the School of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences (FCAV/UNESP), Jaboticabal campus, focusing on nutrigenomics and proteomics applied to beef cattle, with a scholarship awarded by FAPESP (process 2024/23763-4). The current project investigates the effect of supplementation during the breeding phase, combined with intensive rearing and finishing, on the skeletal muscle proteome of Nellore cattle. The objective is to characterize and identify differences in the abundance of proteins, biological processes, and metabolic pathways enriched in the Longissimus thoracis muscle, at weaning and slaughter, between Nellore steers supplemented or not during the rearing phase (creep-feeding). He was a Scientific Initiation scholarship holder (PIBIC-CNPq), working on research focused on the analysis of global differential gene expression, adipogenesis, and lipogenesis in F1 Angus-Nellore cattle subjected to different nutritional strategies during the rearing phase (PROPe Unesp Call No. 04/2022). He has practical experience in swine, beef cattle, and forage farming, acquired through institutional and extracurricular internships. He has knowledge in the areas of animal nutrition and management, integrated systems (ILP), pastures, and forage conservation.
