Birthplace: Brazil

"Biologist with a degree in Biological Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2004), a Masters degree (2010), and a Ph.D. (2015) in Earth Sciences from the Institute of Geosciences at the University of São Paulo (USP). Currently, he is a Visiting Researcher at PRH 43.1 at the Institute of Geosciences, USP, where he conducts research on palynology, biostratigraphy, and paleontology of sedimentary deposits from different geological periods. He has extensive experience in Ediacaran paleontology, focusing on microbialites and associated biotas from the Paraguai Belt (MS and MT), as well as in Cretaceous palynology and biostratigraphy, particularly in the Araripe Basin and other Brazilian sedimentary basins with hydrocarbon exploration potential. Additionally, he investigates palynofacies signatures in subsurface samples from the Rio do Peixe Basin (PB), covering Devonian to Cretaceous intervals. His research interests include the evolution of life on Earth, astrobiology, taphonomy, and the interactions between biological and geological systems over geological time, contributing to the understanding of paleoenvironmental and paleoecological processes that have shaped the history of the biosphere."
